Multi-Grain Sowing: A Foundation for Natural Farming

The first step for farmers venturing into natural farming is the multi-grain sowing method. This technique can transform land that has become infertile due to the continuous use of chemical fertilizers back into fertile soil.

In the past, we used to cut leaves and foliage from trees in gardens and fields and spread them on the soil. We would then mix them in and plow the land to enrich the soil. Later, we would mix animal waste into the soil, plow, and then sow seeds. However, nowadays we are directly mixing chemical fertilizers into the soil and cultivating crops. This practice accelerates the depletion of soil fertility.
The multi-grain sowing method directly involves sowing many types of crops in the soil, letting them grow, and then plowing them back into the earth to enrich the soil. This method makes it easy to replenish soil health.
